A short heritage assessment of the many properties affected by the planned widening of Lytton Road, East Brisbane.

The House Histories project is not taking a position for or against the Wynnum Road upgrade - we understand both the imperative for infrastructure and the heart-wrenching plight of the local community facing forced resumptions and increased traffic. But we want the heritage impacts to be fully understood, particularly as the project will obliterate a row of 20 pre-1946 buildings, of which 7 are either confirmed or highly likely to be constructed in the late 1800s.
